Now that we have Plasma on Wayland by default, as of f34, I think it's worth documenting exactly what's blocking us from using Firefox on Wayland by default. I have been using it for months now, with no real issues to speak of. I would be curious to hear about other's experiences.
I haven't had problems either for months. It's basically up to @stransky to allow it when he updates Firefox.
We can enable it because https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1693472 was fixed and backported to Firefox 88.
I'm going to check KDE state after Fedora 34 release, test Firefox there and eventually enable Wayland by default there. Let's decide one/two weeks after F34 release.
I guess there will be KDE/Plasma/Wayland bug reports after F34 release and we may not add another ones right now.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1922608 is for KDE/Wayland/Firefox.
Shipped in Firefox-88.0-7
