Following up on #585, this issue can be for collecting changes that the KDE SIG wants to highlight in Fedora KDE 43, and then submitting in article format through the Fedora Magazine process.

Offhand, these are what I know for Fedora KDE 43:

  • The new Anaconda UI is now used on Fedora KDE: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/AnacondaWebUIforFedoraSpins
  • Fedora Kinoite now does automatic updates by default: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/KDEKinoiteAutoUpdateByDefault (is this actually done for real this time, @siosm?)
  • New installs now have a 2 GiB /boot partition: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/2GbootPartition
  • Noto Emoji now have scalable colorful emoji: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Use_COLR_for_Noto_Color_Emoji
  • zstd compressed initrds: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/InitrdZstdDefault
  • Fedora Kinoite now does automatic updates by default: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/KDEKinoiteAutoUpdateByDefault (is this actually done for real this time, @siosm?)
