Tagging @jflory7 and @amoloney to approve the content. I think most of this is fine, but the one piece that we need to confirm is whether live chat will be enabled on the YouTube livestream while it's running. If it is then someone would have to moderate that chat. It would also bifurcate the conversation between two chats.
@obazeeconsole this is the article we need the banner art for. The graphic can be as simple as something that says "Fedora 40 Release Party," but if you have an idea for something more creative, we're open to that.
We want to get this published ASAP, but we still need to vet the content and plans, so I don't want to rush too much.

Hi @joseph and @rlengland, here are two variants of the image. I'm not sure why I'm unable to create a pull request for review. Please let me know your thoughts on the design and if you'd like me to make any adjustments.

Can we have a version that has a blue background and one with the Fedora 40 wallpaper in the background? These designs are good, but they feel too serious for what we want to be a warm and welcoming event.
I will review my draft with @jflory7 and after that we should have the content ready to do. At that point the last piece would be getting the graphic sorted.

Hi @joseph, are you referring to this blue background used for the announcement, or is it a different one? I'm not sure I understand you correctly.
If you mean a different one, could you please direct me to where I can find the official image or SVG version?
If I understand, I believe @joseph may be referring to this image and perhaps having it as an inset piece of the overall image (?) I don't have a SVG for this image
@obazeeconsole For the blue background version I am good with just a graphic that has more blue in the background. It didn't have to be the one we used for the release announcement, but that works for me.
If you want to make a version that uses the wallpaper image that @rlengland posted that would be cool, but I'm also fine to use the one you made with the blue background!
Well, ;-) I misinterpreted that really well. :-) I'll see myself out now, and let you two continue productively.

What do you think of these? I wish you had mentioned a specific shade of blue.π

Thanks for your help. Once we have an approved image, I'll make sure to forward the SVG version. π
@obazeeconsole Both are great! I like the one with the new blue background more. Please remove the Fedora logo that's in the corner as I think it looks a little out of place and that will be the one we use for the article.

@joseph Is Monday 6 May soon enough to publish or would you prefer it go out over the weekend?
Thank you @obazeeconsole

@rlengland I say Monday, May 6 is good for publishing. I did ask Justin to review, so I want to assume he did and everything is fine? I will also link again to this ticket in the CommOps team just in case someone wants to check my words one more time. But I think we're good just to start getting the word out.
Once we get the registration details, can we edit the article to contain those rather than coming out with a whole new article? What would you recommend for that?
@joseph, that's a scheduling issue we will leave up to you. We can hold until you decide it is ready.
@joseph Perhaps I misunderstood. You are proposing editing the article to include the registration info AFTER it has been published? I fear that folks will not go back to the article after reading it and will miss that important information.
Metadata Update from @rlengland: - Custom field publish adjusted to 2024-05-06
@joseph I think I would suggest a separate article to announce the registration details. We an make them a series so they will be linked together. This will make certain the information gets seen.
@joseph When you have the registration details finalized set up a new article and we can modified the announcement featured image to reflect the registration info and publish it as soon as we can.
Sounds good!
