#539 [F28] Testing Applications writting and packaged with Rust
Closed: Fixed 6 years ago Opened 6 years ago by sumantrom.

I had a word with @ignatenkobrain and it will be great to work with Rust SIG and organize a test day where users can test rust apps on F28.

So I'm free on week which starts at 19th, is it good time for you, folks?

Also can this be combined with https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/StratisStorage? Those guys had 0.5 release and they would like to hear feedback. And since it's written in Rust, it probably would make sense to join these test days.

\cc @grover

@ignatenkobrain we have a test day which is supposed to be on 23rd .. I would like to space it out by a week , if thats okay with you guys. Stratis is written in rust, so if you can help me shape a test case which you think will be valuable. I am game.

What about 04.04? or 05.04? Just choose one and it will be fine with me.

04.04 is an interesting date, lets make it happen :)

Also, can you give me a list of all the apps which can be tested and Stratis Storage test case if you have one / or help me write one?

  • ripgrep
  • tokei
  • ternimal
  • base100
  • fd-find

I think those are the apps.

For stratis test cases: @grover, can you help writing those?

@ignatenkobrain thanks.
hi @grover , we will work on the test cases together

Sounds good. BTW We will have a stratisd 0.5.1 release by the end of the month that we should use.

@grover, I will prepare update once you release it. Just let me know ;)

But you can start working on test cases already.

This went well
Test Day:2018-04-04 Rust Test Day
