#55 F13 ABRT Test Day
Closed: Fixed None Opened 15 years ago by kparal.

Let's repeat the ABRT test day also in Fedora 13. I have talked to jmoskovc and he confirmed that they would like to have one.

Last test day: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2009-08-20

TODO: set up new wiki page, revise test cases, settle date.

Would it be possible to test part of this feature at this time:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/EasierPythonDebugging

There's a recipe for segfaulting Python given here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/EasierPythonDebugging#How_To_Test

My hope is that ABRT will automatically contain information on the Python objects when the Python process segfaults/aborts (given the things I've added to python-debuginfo and python3-debuginfo).

Thanks for your proposal, dmalcolm. Even though these topics share a lot in common, we would rather not mix them. What would you say if we help you organize a separate fully-fledged test day just for your feature? There are a lot of time slots free, it shouldn't be a problem.

Yes, but the test of cooperation between ABRT and this improved python debugging will be part of the ABRT's test plan.

Blocker bugs have been resolved, the test day is scheduled on April 1st. Prepare some easter eggs into the Fools' Day test plan, jmoskovc! :)

this is looking a bit short on content; I'll try and find time tomorrow to whip it into shape and do the announcements, if no-one else does.

I have tried to finalize the wiki page, it should be in a much better shape now. Missing items:

  1. Update test cases - I was told that jmoskovc and other developers are working on it.

  2. Create custom live image - I'm waiting until jmoskovc updates his development repo and provide me with a link and then I will build the images.

  3. Post announcements to test-announce - I will do that later today, when the preparations are nearing their end.

I think we are ready to go.
