GNOME Megaupdate usually has a lot of new features and we would like to run a Test Day. As GNOME is Fedora's default release blocking DE, this tracker will track changes, possible feature test cases and test day details for F33 cycle.
@kalev @aday @otaylor @mclasen Discussed at last week's Workstation WG meeting: "maybe 19 August"
A few items not ordinarily in the test day, but have recently been discussed as a good time to do them:
@chrismurphy I am marking 19th Aug as the set date. Did the GNOME megaupdate drop already? I will take the points aforementioned for the test day
Look like megaupdate will happen by August 16.
@chrismurphy @kalev @aday @otaylor @mclasen The test day page is here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2020-08-19_Fedora_33_Gnome_3.37 Can you all confirm the date is 19 Aug as final? I am working on a Fedora Magazine post for greater visibility and will be better if I the date can be confirmed. Thanks
I'm just back from PTO. I'll confirm the date later today after updating GNOME packages and testing the current state of F33.
Thanks a lot. Let me know!
OK, I've got most of GNOME packages updated now and things seem to be roughly working. I think we can go ahead with the test day on August 19.
Thanks @Kalev Lember klember@redhat.com , I will schedule the magazine post

@kalev the magazine post is out and a community blog will follow https://fedoramagazine.org/contribute-at-the-fedora-kernel-and-gnome-test-days/ Are we getting a test day-specific image or can we just update the 20200811?
Just a regular nightly image is fine. I'll add a link to the wiki page.
Thanks a lot
This on ran successfully and the results are updated https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2020-08-19_Fedora_33_Gnome_3.37#Test_Results
