hey @rcritten,
Thanks for filing the issue. I would like to know what features would you like to test. Also, do you have suggestions for what test cases would be covered? We have a few FreeIPA test case and I can go ahead link here, but it will be awesome to know what dates and what test cases would you like us to work with?
This will test a new HSM (Hardware Security Module) feature in freeIPA.
I have started a write-up for the test day. I can create a page for it. I'm just not 100% sure where to create a candidate one, as opposed to a fully scheduled on.
We should be good-to-go any time in July. I don't think a full week of testing is needed, maybe a day or two.

It's fairly simple. I can create one if you can share the write-up you started. The process is to head over to https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA/SOP_Test_Day_management ; where you will find https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Template:QA/Test_Case (TEST CASE template) and https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA/Test_Days/Template (TEST DAY WIKI template) . You should be able to copy that over to fresh page and edit away. We can go both ways , lemme know whichever you think works best for you :)
9th through 11th sounds good?
I'll take a look at the templates. I have the write-up in a google doc and I fear it's going to be a bit of work to convert to the wiki format and I want to be mindful of your time.
Yes, 9th - 11th sounds fine.
I should mention I was waiting until we had a date agreed upon before creating the page since it incorporates the date into the link.
it's been a while since I've done a test day. I didn't break each test case out into separate wiki pages, I hope that's ok. This is what I have so far: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:Test_Day:2024-07-09_IPA_HSM
hey @rcritten ,
Thanks for creating the wiki. I will help out with the test cases and the app. It will be done by tomorrow my time. Thanks for all the work!! I will however ping you if I am get stuck.
do you have a plan for publicizing this, @rcritten ? freeipa is quite a heavy thing to deploy and configure, so I'm not sure it's appropriate for a general test day audience. do we have a good way to reach folks already familiar with / interested in it who might want to come out for this event?
I notified on freeipa-users and an internal IdM mailing list.
@rcritten , I created the test days results page https://testdays.fedoraproject.org/events/191 I have moved the test cases over to their individual pages as they should be. This will help not only users to avoid load huge page and but also copy code directly over from wiki as they get highlighted. Please have a look and lemme know how I can help! :) Thanks for all the support and encouragement! A fedora magazine post and fedocal will follow hereafter.

@sumantrom That is great, thanks very much for taking the time to do that!
I spot-checked things and the test and result reporting looks great.
I think we can close the ticket now. Thanks for your help. I got side feedback as well from people who tested but didn't officially report. Plus a few bugs to address.
Thanks @rcritten !!
Lets work together on more IPA tests :)
