#116 Tweak apps_startstop to provide a result for QA:Testcase_workstation_core_applications
Closed: Fixed 5 years ago by adamwill. Opened 5 years ago by adamwill.

I believe it should be possible to tweak the apps_startstop test such that it provides a result for https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Testcase_workstation_core_applications . We just need to keep a list of the core applications and check that the test steps for those applications pass. We could probably have each individual app test write the app name to a text file if the test passes, then have a step at the end that just checks all the apps on the core application list are in that text file, and if they are, that test step passes (and then in fedora_openqa we report a pass for core_applications if that test step passes). Or something like that. I'm winging it. :P But it should be doable.

I will look into this. Core applications OpenQA testing was my idea after all.

I opened #125 which fixes this issue.

Please don't close the issue till we merge the test. Also we'll need to update the wiki reporting to actually report a result for it (that's done in fedora_openqa, though).

OK, this is now merged. I also implemented wiki reporting, which turned out to be quite a lot of fun.
