#199 shortcut used by `solidify_wallpaper` to open Desktop Settings in KDE doesn't seem to work in Rawhide any more
Closed: Invalid 4 years ago by adamwill. Opened 4 years ago by adamwill.

Several Rawhide tests on KDE are failing because solidify_wallpaper isn't working as expected. The shortcut it intends to open Desktop Settings instead seems to be showing Disks & Devices, like this.

@rdieter do you know anything about this change? The shortcut we're using is to hold down alt, hit D and then S, and release alt. It was working fine until Fedora-Rawhide-20200921.n.0 (last worked in Fedora-Rawhide-20200918.n.0).

Actually, I think the issue might be that this Disks & Devices is just showing up on its own and blocking anything else in the systray from working...

Nothing intentional by us, but that likely coincides with plasma-5.19.90 (aka plasma 5.20 beta) landing in rawhide

Yeah, that's the right timeframe.

Hello, I will change the solidify_wallpaper to use a different method to arrive at the correct KDE Settings location.

Sounds good. I am curious why this got changed/broken upstream, though.

I think alt-d-s is working again in current Rawhide. Just double checking.

OK, I think it was the 'Disks & Devices' thing. In current Rawhide the shortcut is working. Closing this.
