I presume that you've hidden the group python-sig (that's how I reproduced it) and we aren't looking on some other bug.

The stats now show total number of items in given category regardless of used filters. I can see that this is not a good UX. I can change it so they reflect the filtering options.

If you can detect "missing" items, I suggest adding an item to the end of the list saying something like "Some results are hidden due to the filtering options" or something like that.
