We have some spins which are rather outdated, a few perhaps are even dead. We should make it impossible to access the download tab in these spin pages.
Solution: * Check on the JSON file if the spin is available before displaying the spin page with the download tab * Check and remove variables (curr_id), if they are used outside the download tab
I would discourage the ability to remove older spins from being downloaded.
The only exception i could think of is if the last version of the spin is already on an EOL version of Fedora. This would mean a person could still download a spin version that's 1.5 years old.
A thought would be not to necessarily delete the spins page but maybe add it to a spins.fp.o/archive/ location.
Actually the only spin which is not EOL is the Games Spin. All the others are <= Fedora 14.
As we have the globalvar.py file for the curr_id I've hidden the download tab for now (otherwise there appeared Fedora 18 Games Spin!), but if we have other solutions they are welcome.\ It's not a problem changing the variables with the number of the release (i.e. 17 instead of curr_id) when a spin isn't available for the last version of Fedora, but changing it, will break the translation strings...not a good fix.
Fedora.next is around the corner, we will drop spins.fpo for the next release and will redesign the pages. See #248 to know more.
