The lack of (easy to access) mouse acceleration options can make gamers and designers to avoid Fedora.

Installing Tweaks, using gsettings or modifying system files isn't user-friendly and the later two can break things.
Perhaps this can be reconsidered just like this option? Maybe this option could be available with a downstream change?
I agree: we've received complaints about this for a decade now, and they won't stop unless we add the setting. There is an upstream merge request here: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-control-center/-/merge_requests/1548.
However, if upstream does not agree, I don't think it's important enough to merit a downstream patch.. So I also don't think it requires Working Group tracking.
Other opinions?
Worth mentioning that Tweaks isn't available to install through the Software app in Silverblue.
Can't think of any. I think that we should close this.
I think we should carry it downstream if upstream won't do it.

This might be discussed at tomorrow's WG meeting, time-permitting.
(@cereal-lava-planet, is there a way I can get in touch with you via e.g. Matrix/IRC or email? I notice emails to your Fedora account email address are bouncing.)
I like how Pagure will not allow me to ping you, but will allow me to ping poor @cereal instead. Quality.
Agreed: Allan will continue to work on upstream design. We just need to decide on the wording to use for the setting. There will be no need to patch this in downstream.
