There's already a thunderbird-wayland package. Could this be used as the default, like what was done for Firefox before they enabled Wayland by default upstream?
This is up to @erack, but I would like this for Fedora KDE too.
There's also another problem with Thunderbird in which the desktop file and app-id don't match, which was reported as fedora-kde/SIG#458.
It would be good to solve both problems at once.

@erack any comment on this?
Ping again @erack
I'm going to close this because Thunderbird is not in the Workstation package set and the maintainer is not responding. Feel free to contact the maintainer @erack directly.

@catanzaro - this has already been fixed with https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/thunderbird/c/f1167d5e44c39a4ccfbbffc82e508237211aa9a3?branch=rawhide few weeks ago when I spoke with @erack and @xhorak about it.
That commit is written in such a way that it doesn't apply on RHEL properly, especially RHEL 10. :confused:
@ngompa which is not problem at all, because we're not using the Fedora's SPEC file in RHEL - we do have RHEL specific SPEC file for Firefox and Thunderbird.
