#418 Make Thunderbird use Wayland by default
Closed: Fixed a month ago by tpopela. Opened 2 months ago by mxanthropocene.

There's already a thunderbird-wayland package. Could this be used as the default, like what was done for Firefox before they enabled Wayland by default upstream?

This is up to @erack, but I would like this for Fedora KDE too.

There's also another problem with Thunderbird in which the desktop file and app-id don't match, which was reported as fedora-kde/SIG#458.

It would be good to solve both problems at once.

I'm going to close this because Thunderbird is not in the Workstation package set and the maintainer is not responding. Feel free to contact the maintainer @erack directly.

That commit is written in such a way that it doesn't apply on RHEL properly, especially RHEL 10.

@ngompa which is not problem at all, because we're not using the Fedora's SPEC file in RHEL - we do have RHEL specific SPEC file for Firefox and Thunderbird.
