Today I was installing Fedora 27. While watching Anaconda, I noticed GNOME Software presented a notification to inform me that an upgraded version of Fedora is now available. This makes no sense, since I had not finished installing Fedora yet. @kalev , can we find a way to ensure this service is disabled on live media?
I have a feeling that we fixed that in gnome-software 3.28, but that's just from memory. I can check when I'm back from vacation on the 17th.
Hi @kalev, could you check on this please?
I don't recall seeing this behavior. Yesterday I did a clean install in a VM with Fedora-Workstation-Live-x86_64-32-20200218.n.0.iso and definitely didn't see it. Close? And reopen if it reappears?
Independent of any GNOME Software changes, it looks like Kalev disabled GNOME Software on live media two months before I reported this issue: https://pagure.io/fedora-kickstarts/c/c236c5f53c4669b2024c8863ba0fed178116a74b
So the service should not be running anymore.
