Direct links are nice, but people won't know how to retrieve checksums, so that they can verify their downloaded files.

One solution would be to link only parent directories, not isos directly. Another solution would be to add links to corresponding checksum files (maybe a small icon next to each image, leading to that file). Yet another solution would be to display the checksum directly next to every image, maybe hidden by default and shown on click (javascripties!).

Hmm, I'll see what I can do. To be honest I almost never actually do this, so it didn't come to mind...

this came up again today. for simplicity we could probably just use the same rollover approach we use to show test failures, there can be a rollover for passed/unknown images too, and all rollovers include the checksum link.
