ok, we have 45 new features for the 2013-02-06 meeting.
I'd like fesco members to take a few minutes and determine which of them they '''do wish to discuss and vote on'''. All the rest we can simple approve in a block.
Either add your list here or have it ready for tomorrow's meeting please, and I will sort them all and we can go through the list that anyone has asked to discuss and we can approve the rest.
Thanks!
My list to discuss/vote on:
{{{ Dracut HostOnly Cinnamon as Default Desktop systemd Calendar Timers systemd/udev Hardware Database }}}
These I am ok with, but wish they would change the names of their features:
{{{ Enterprise / distributed two-factor authentication Ease Of Use: System Management with OpenLMI PreUpgrade Assistant }}}
The rest are ok with me.
My list to discuss in addition to the kevin's list above: {{{ Apache Openoffice Yum groups as objects }}}
My list to discuss in addition: {{{ First Class Cloud Images Enterprise/Distributed 2FA Add LVM Thin Provisioning Anaconda New UI followup (pending answer to question on devel@ OpenAttestation }}}
Have a question in the ticket for {{{ CUPS 1.6 }}} but that's more of a query, as opposed to something that might change a vote.
I don't think {{{ NetworkTeamDriver }}} really qualifies as a feature.
My list to discuss in addition: * GNOME 3.8 - no contingency plan, are we OK with that?
I have a question about firewalld Lockdown, the answer is not likely to change my vote.
I'd like to propose the following Features as "needs discussion":
I don't think the startup gains are worth increasing our boot fragility.
https://fedorahosted.org/fesco/ticket/1036 - Enterprise / distributed two-factor authentication
We've tried to put them in contact with the other groups in Fedora that are working on 2FA and the Feature owner has not responded at all on the list.
https://fedorahosted.org/fesco/ticket/1038 - Apache !OpenOffice
Plenty of discussion on the list. I'd probably recommend an approach similar to the MariaDB/MySQL solution: make sure that they can coexist and let them maintain it if they want to. Make no modification at this time to the defaults on Live media.
https://fedorahosted.org/fesco/ticket/1045 - Cinnamon as Default Desktop
No. I think we have plenty to discuss regarding GNOME 3's place in the world, but Cinnamon is not ready for default status. We can argue all we want about the alternatives, but we have too much momentum on GNOME 3 right now, and I'd also like to see how Classic Mode plays out.
https://fedorahosted.org/fesco/ticket/1055 - New firstboot
This Feature needs to land, but I want some public guarantees about how it's going to play with GNOME Initial Experience.
https://fedorahosted.org/fesco/ticket/1064 - Simplify !Java/Maven Packaging using XMvn
I just want to have some clear packaging guideline rules in place for approving this. Otherwise I'm good with it.
https://fedorahosted.org/fesco/ticket/1068 - Trusted Network Connect
Bill raised some valid concerns about how this plays with NM
https://fedorahosted.org/fesco/ticket/1070 - Yum Groups as Objects
As I stated on the list, I don't think this should be a Feature. It's not solving the real problem and it's doing it in a way that's only a marginal improvement. By all means go ahead and do it, but we're not going to advertise it.
https://fedorahosted.org/fesco/ticket/1071 - systemd Calendar Timers
If I haven't listed it above, you may assume I have a +1 vote for en-block voting.
All of the features I think need discussion are already listed by someone else in this ticket. I'm covered.

Likewise, I think the list as it stands suits my needs.
All interesting features were already mentioned by others.
ok, from all those I get the following list.
{{{
}}}
Let me know if I left any out people do want or if there are some where questions have been answered and we no longer need to discuss. Thanks.
This meeting is over and we discussed the ones listed. :)
