= phenomenon =
The maintaner of all sugar packages is unresponsive and has not logged in to FAS in nearly four years. We urgently need to update sugar-toolkit-gtk3 to version 0.118, now that @chimosky has updated the core sugar package to version 0.118. @pbrobinson has been the de-facto maintainer for some time, but does not wish to continue in that role, and we (Sugar Labs) would like to assume maintainership long-term. This also applies to all sugar-* packages owned by erikos.

@churchyard, I'm aware of the previous ticket, but @pbrobinson never responded to it, and it was subsequently summarily closed. It seems like we have a stalemate here, and a completely unnecessary one at that. Please consider this a request to short-circuit the regular policy. The Sugar packages have been in a highly sub-optimal state for over two years, and the non-responsive packager policy seems to be the reason why. I don't understand why "this user has not logged in in THREE YEARS is insufficient evidence that they're completely checked out.

@churchyard, additionally, all e-mail to his provided e-mail address, simon@laptop.org, bounces. I cannot find another way to contact him, or an alternate e-mail address, even after having asked around several times over the last six months.

Please follow the Non-responsive maintainer policy. See the necessary steps.
