I vaguely remember this change being slightly controversial when it was discussed years ago, but I haven't seen any pushback to this particular change ... so +1 to moving away from deprecated things :)

From reviewing how we have cloud-init configured, it should be okay with this change, too.

We should be all set these days, I don't know of any blocking deliverables still depending on ifcfg files anymore.

Since nobody objected and we need to start moving forward, we will enable the change in the next build this week. IIRC, the policy stated that this should be approved now and I guess due to people being busy with Flock, it was not stated here, yet.

Yes, this should have been marked as approved a few days ago, but yes, Flock. I'll do that now (since I'm running this week's meeting anyway) ...

After two weeks, this has received only +1 votes, so the change is APPROVED (+6, 0, -0).

We'll need to figure out how to handle other steps in this process (creating tracker bug etc.) but at least the change is now officially approved ...
