Replace wget with wget2 (a modern implementation of wget intended to replace wget 1.x) as the provider of wget.
Owners, do not implement this work until the FESCo vote has explicitly ended. The Fedora Program Manager will create a tracking bug in Bugzilla for this Change, which is your indication to proceed. See the FESCo ticket policy and the Changes policy for more information.

@mruprich is the main maintainer of wget. The maintainer of a package being replaced supporting the transition is the main argument for me.
I didn't know there was a wget2, but if it's an improvement over wget I think this is fine. I'm a curl user anyway.
