I started a discussion about this:
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org/thread/XMGKCZEYCMAUWMZMDA3OJOZD7IHPSGXK/
I'd like to propose we move the f41 schedule one week out starting with the mass branching.
So it would move from 2024-08-06 to 2024-08-13 and all the dates after it would move a week out too.
This is to avoid branching happening the day before flock...
+1
Just to clarify, by "all dates after it move out a week too", this translates into "One week shorter of a cycle for Fedora 42", yes?
I would expect the schedule for 42 to be unchanged, but losing a week on the front end seems fine to me.
Yes, f42 would be unchanged by this. The one week would come out of the post f41 -> f42 time...
Metadata Update from @ngompa: - Issue tagged with: meeting
I've tagged this for meeting so we can decide this today.
Is there any reason to discuss this at the meeting? By my count it has +7 and is going to be approved in three more days. If we think we need a faster announcement for planning purposes, we can nominate it for the FastTrack process...
I can switch it for FastTrack then.

It currently has six votes, it needs one more to be approved.
@kevin 's vote is implied by submitting it, ergo +7
I don't think I want to go with that assumption. We don't do that for Changes or any other thing, so I'd rather not make that assumption here too.

This was discussed in the meeting, approved (+7, 0, -0) and announced in the minutes
