Remove the fips-mode-setup command provided by the crypto-policies package. The functionality it currently performs will be partially removed, partially replaced by automation.
Owners, do not implement this work until the FESCo vote has explicitly ended. The Fedora Program Manager will create a tracking bug in Bugzilla for this Change, which is your indication to proceed. See the FESCo ticket policy and the Changes policy for more information.
REMINDER: This ticket is for FESCo members to vote on the proposal. Further discussion should happen in the Discourse discussion linked above. Additional discussion may happen on the Fedora Devel mailing list.

When can I expect a tracking bug for this change? So far I haven't seen it, have I not been looking in the right place?
@amoloney ^
Ping? There still is not tracking ticket for this. Should I just go ahead and implement the change without a tracking ticket?
@clang Yes, please do. We can deal with the tracking ticket bureaucracy ex post facto.
Hi @clang all tracker links (bz & release notes) are updated to the change proposal now. My sincerest apologies, I never saw the notification for this ticket and missed it completely. Thank you @zbyszek for giving great guidance to the change owner to continue with the work, and thank you @clang for not waiting on the bz tracker link.
If you have a moment, could you provide a status update on the bz on your change please? If its completed, please adjust the status of the bz to ON_QA, or if theres work still continuing, please set it to MODIFIED with a link to a build or a short summary of the work done and work to do.
Thanks and apologies again, Aoife
