Remove the GNOME X11 packages from the Fedora repositories. All users of the GNOME X11 session will be migrated to the GNOME Wayland session.
Owners, do not implement this work until the FESCo vote has explicitly ended. The Fedora Program Manager will create a tracking bug in Bugzilla for this Change, which is your indication to proceed. See the FESCo ticket policy and the Changes policy for more information.
REMINDER: This ticket is for FESCo members to vote on the proposal. Further discussion should happen in the Discourse discussion linked above. Additional discussion may happen on the Fedora Devel mailing list.

As I wrote previously on the mailing list, I don't think this provides any actual benefit to our users, because only people who want to use the X11 session code use it. So the argument that "it doesn't work" doesn't work, since it clearly works for those people, or at least works better than the alternatives. I don't see any reason to disable this code before upstream.

This was discussed during the meeting today, but we decided to punt until next week.
This will be discussed during today's FESCo meeting (starting 17:00 UTC in #meeting:fedoraproject.org).
