If you just need to sponsor one person to be co-maintainer on your packages, we could just do that. See: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_get_sponsored_into_the_packager_group#Become_a_co-maintainer
Or did you wish to apply to be a sponsor because you wish to sponsor and work with others?

D'oh! I missed that one sentence. For now it would be perfectly fine to just add him as a co-maintainer.
