#46 [talk] 3d printing with Fedora
Closed Opened by spot.

Thanks to the efforts of the 3d Printing SIG, Fedora is well equipped with the tools to make 3d printing on Linux easy and fun. Until your printer jams or your filament gets jammed or your thermistor dies... but none of those are software problems! In this talk, I'll talk about some well supported configurations and software in Fedora for 3d printing, from CAD to print.

Audience: People interested in 3d printing. Also people interested in helping us add more software!

I'd like to figure out how we can make all the awesome 3D printing work you and the SIG have done more visible in line with our "we make an operating system and we make it easy for you do useful stuff with it" mission. Traditionally, we've done that with Labs and Spins, but that's very ... install focused. Maybe we can use this as a case study for other ways to present this. (Maybe it's a special section in Software? Maybe it's a set of documentation? Maybe something else!)
