We need to be able to handle:

rpms_default_repository = git://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/rpms
rpms_default_cache = http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/repo/pkgs

This wouldn't work ^ while the bottom part would

rpms_default_repository = git://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/rpms/
rpms_default_cache = http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/repo/pkgs/
