#5930 if X.X.in-addr.arpa. is chosen @install then IPA will still later create X.X.X.in-addr.arpa.
Opened by lejeczek. Modified

IPA installer does not handle user-specified reverse zones correctly. When a user specifies reverse zone like X.X.in-addr.arpa. then IPA will occasionally ignore it and create X.X.X.in-addr.arpa. zone anyway.

This means that initially created PTR records in zone X.X.in-addr.arpa. (IPA's own) become unresolvable.

Zone selection needs to be completely reworked for integration with external DNS so we should test this case when we are done with it.

Depends on future "integration with external DNS" feature.
