Recently some Hong Kong users requested whether ibus-cangjie could be made the default IME for zh_HK:

Currently langpacks-zh_HK pulls in ibus-table-chinese-cangjie (and also recommends ibus-table-chinese-quick).

Typo, you mean it recommends these 3 after my change:

  • recommends={ "ibus-table-chinese-quick",
  • "ibus-cangjie-engine-cangjie",
  • "ibus-cangjie-engine-quick",

and requires "ibus-table-chinese-cangji":

inputmethod="ibus-table-chinese-cangjie",

This is not True. Same results on Fedora 42. Check my comment https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/langpacks/pull-request/43#comment-278404

yeah, my deepest apologies for ruining everyone's time, it's just I already had the *cangjie packages installed when I tried installing the zh_HK locale. :tired_face:

This issue has been migrated to Fedora Forge:
