I do have to comment on your suggestion

This is just too much of a liability risk for anyone that is helping out in a channel. Sure you trust me to log in to your machine, you know me and know I would not do something malicious. However at the same time, how do I know the next user would not have me log in to their machine, then claim I did something wrong? We all hope that everyone else can be trusted, the reality is however that some just have ulterior motives. I hope you understand why we have always discouraged this kind of thing.
