Currently, --update is only used when doing a repo regeneration, not the first time that a repo is generated.
Let's say that you create the following: tag: foo-build (inherits from f30-build)
with a corresponding target. In this case, when generating the repo for foo-build, it would be possible to use --update pointing at f30-build and that would significantly speed up the process.
