This is in regard to the email sent by @bex on the devel list. I would like to request funding to travel to help staff the FOSDEM booth this coming year. @mohanboddu already submitted a ticket for swag to bring to support Fedora, this ticket is for travel cost to help @mohanboddu and @siddharthvipul1 run the booth.
I would also like to use the event to promote the Fedora Amateur Radio Sig that is currently in the process of getting a (much needed) renovation.
What is the event and why should Fedora do it?* FOSDEM is one of the biggest FLOSS conference in Europe. Fedora have had a presence there for years. Just continuing the tradition.
Event Date* February 1 to February 2 2020
Event Location* Brussels, Belgium
Swag needs (and why) Exact amount/type of swag I would leave it on @bex (or the person who is submitting booth request to FOSDEM) reason: ~10,000 audience interested in FLOSS and technologies.
Budget needs (subject to the Advocate limit) We are not looking for any budget but we are waiting on approval for funding from other resources.

@coremodule is this ticket to request for your travel to FOSDEM OR is it for @mohanboddu and @siddharthvipul1 to fly to FOSDEM? If this is for the former, you need to give mindshare an amount to vote on and if it's for later then they need to file separate tickets which then will go for the voting?
Thanks for the extra info @sumantrom . This is a request for my personal travel to help staff the booth at FOSDEM 2020. According to SkyScanner.com, the average price is around ~$630 for travel from Denver to Brussels round-trip (Jan. 30 - Feb. 3).

I'm +1 as well. I'm assuming you have other plans for sleeping accommodations.
I do not have sleeping accommodations. Can these be rolled into this request? Or should I open a separate request for that? After some brief online looking, I think around $200USD should cover the expense for accommodation.
I believe @marianab is coordinating the overall presence for Fedora at FOSDEM. I suggest we fold this and all other FOSDEM into her planning.
Usually the Fedora people lodge in one hotel all together. In order to reduce costs people usually have to share their room with someone else.
So far we have not identified the hotel that people will be lodging at but once we have it I will let you know. :)
Wondering if I should purchase a ticket? Is there a way to receive the exact amount of money before I make the purchase as opposed to putting it on a credit card and getting paid for it later? I'm just trying to avoid the ticket prices going up since I originally gave the cost estimate.
@coremodule are you approved as part of the boothplan and budget that @marianab is putting together? We need to get all of this funding into one ticket, hers at #166
