Hi folks! I have some updates here.
Proposed dates Friday & Saturday November 12th & 13th - we want to give a bit more space between the target release and the release party then in times past
Proposed topics/presenters Once we agree to a line up, I will start contacting the proposed presenters to see if they are available.
We need more ideas for this, please comment below

Proposed Social Sessions Among Us - we had a lot of fun with this at Nest! Would be great if @thunderbirdtr would host this one :) Pictionary - a virtual event standby. I can host this. Pub Quiz - Classic! We would need to ask Aoife Moloney if she is up for it Ghost Hunt - https://teambuilding.com/events/ghost-hunt-in-the-haunted-mansion Beat the Bomb - https://beatthebomb.com/virtual
+1 for the dates and proposed sessions.
+1
I don't see any problem with the date. Beat the bomb, among us and ghost hunt sound like very interesting social sessions.
We discussed in our weekly Mindshare meeting. Here are our notes:
I brainstormed with @mattdm and we came up with a couple more session ideas: - CPE Bi-Annual Update- we would love to see this at each release party. A general update on the projects and work the team is doing to promote visibility and also recognition for all their hard work :) I will ask CPE management to advise who should be presenting this - How the Fedora Wallpaper is Made - we thought this would be a cool topic! Would help provide recognition to the Design Team and provide an informational video for evergreen content. I will ask Mizmo what she thinks about this one - Fedora Intern Alumni presentations- not sure how this one will work exactly but the general idea is to bring Fedora intern alumni in to talk about their Fedora experience, what they gained from their internship, where they have gone from there
For me, lightning talks are always a nice thing since they allow to learn about a lot of things in a short time.
Hi folks!
Registration has been set up for the release party. Link: https://hopin.com/events/fedora-linux-35-release-party/registration
Tweet to promote: https://twitter.com/fedora/status/1440800988672102401
I have also reached out to the various people we are hoping will present at the event and will work with them to coordinate the schedule.
@till I am up for a lightning talk session. The last time I tried to run one virtually, I ran into some difficulties with a couple things. I didn't have many submissions, and when the session actually ran, some people who were supposed to speak couldn't be there. If we want to do this, I would propose that we gather recordings in advance. If we do not require folks to be at the session, I think we can get more submissions. Thoughts?
Pre-recorded talks are also fine. How about we share them at the beginning of the conference/or a day early and then have a session where presenters and watchers can meet to discuss or interested people can do last-minute sessions?
By the way, has there been a decision for the social session?
I am looking forward to helping however possible If you want me to talk to CPE management, I can do that on your behalf too (@riecatnor) .. and of course hopin moderation :)
