The Docs team would like to update the description of the Mindshare section on the docs home page.
Currently, it reads
Learn about Mindshare and its subprojects and teams
This isn't particularly helpful for people who don't already know about Mindshare. We'd like some more descriptive text. Perhaps something like:
Activities beyond engineering: Design, Documentation, Websites, and more
Of course, this doesn't begin to cover everything. I'll leave the final wording up to the Mindshare Committee, but this shows the sort of direction we'd like to take it. It could be a little longer than my example, but not too much.
The Mindshare Committee discussed this in their weekly meeting. We have yet to come up with a consensus. Here are the notes from the meet: - Idea: Activities beyond engineering is a much better way to put the efforts unlike "non-technical or even non-engineering" - Proposal: "Fedora's Outreach Teams: Ambassadors, Design, Docs, Mentorship, Websites, and more" - Idea: maybe we could remove all the subteams "Easy place to get started with activities beyond engineering" - Idea: Hello. :) I think it could be helpful to include something about Mindshare having opportunities for non-technical people and have that clearly spelled out? - Idea" even a "Start Here" kind of messaging is good, because I think this is the best place to start if you don't know where you are going.

"Easy place to get started" doesn't quite represent the content (or at least much of the content) behind the link. I'd like to convey that it's documentation about/for the teams, not necessarily a way to join them (although hopefully most teams have that content).
We had a couple minutes to discuss this at our Mindshare meeting today and came up with the following: Activities beyond engineering: Learn about the teams focused on Fedora's outreach, brand, & more. @bcotton wdyt? Are we okay on the number of characters?
