I see python-maya was orphaned, but it's still got neuro-sig as a committer. Questions:
@iztokf : I think you were the primary maintainer---what do you think?
Nothing depends on python-maya and the last release was 5 years ago. So, letting it go appears to be the right decision.
python-maya
@ankursinha, is it the listing on the packager dashboard, why you seek to remove neuro-sig from it? I believe it's quite common for a main admin to orphan a package without removing users and groups. Once the package gets retired, the package should disappear from the dashboard.
I think we don't need to figure out how to remove neuro-sig from the package.
Yeh, it's the dashboard, and we'll keep getting any bug etc related notifications for it. Not a biggie, but it does mean that once we (I?) forget about this one package, we (I?) may end up looking at a bug notification, maybe spending some time on it, and then at some point realising that "oh, this one is orphaned and doesnt require us to spend time on it".
Any new bugs will be assigned to Orphan Owner. That should make it quite clear that the package has been orphaned. But, sure, if there's an easy way of getting neuro-sig removed, by all means ...
I don't think there will be (m)any new bugs for that package since it's dead upstream and nothing depends on it. Just my $0.02.
Hrm, sounds good. Let's leave it to retire. Closing this.
