#317 Grant packager-sponsor rights to djbw
Closed: declined Opened by djbw.

I am the upstream maintainer of the ndctl project (github.com/pmem/ndctl) and have been the Fedora package maintainer for ndctl since April 2016. I mentored the developer of the ixpdimm_sw package and it was approved for Fedora inclusion in August of 2016.

Please let me know what other documentation you require.

If those links are correct, I see only two completed reviews and two maintained packages.

According to
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_sponsor_a_new_contributor#Becoming_a_Fedora_Package_Collection_Sponsor the criteria are:

  • Maintain at least three packages.
  • Have done five high quality, nontrivial package reviews.
  • Have been members of the packager group for at least one release cycle (generally six months) so that they have seen the process of branching for a new release.

If the above links are correct, it appears that third criterion is satisfied, but that the other two aren't. Thus I'd at least like to at least see some justification for us ignoring those rules.

Note that if you just want to sponsor a person so that they can co-maintain something, all you have to do is file a ticket in this pagure instance and one of us will help out with that.

Looks like it's been 9 days here and there's not +3 votes, so I am closing this.

Please feel free to reapply anytime you feel you have more support.
