#341 How to unsubscribe from issues?
Closed Opened by scop.

I'm currently inactive in Fedora, so I have no need for the packager-sponsors issue notification mails, and would like to stop receiving them.

I already have the packager-sponsors watch status set to Unwatch, but that doesn't prevent the mails. And the mails' headers don't seem to convey any information how to unsubscribe from the list.

If there is no other option besides revoking my sponsor status to stop delivery of these mails, then please go ahead and do that.

Unfortunately packager-sponsors@fedpraproject.org isn't a mailing list; it's just an email alias constructed automatically from the sponsors of the packager group. Messages from this pagure instance get sent to that alias. I don't believe there's any way at all to opt out of those emails as an individual sponsor of the packager group.

It should be possible to filter messages from this pagure instance, if you wanted to do that, though you would still be subjected to messages sent directly to packager-sponsors@fedoraproject.org. There should be some header which indicates that the message was passed through that alias which would let you filter all of them.

The only other option I think is that you could set your account to 'inactive'. You would need to reactivate it before you could use it at all though. That should remove you from emails until you login to the account system and reactivate it. Let me know if you want to try that or would just like me to remove you for now.

Deactivating my whole account sounds somewhat overkill at this point. I'm flitering and ignoring packager-sponsors@ messages now locally, so in case that works (we'll see) I think I'm good for now.
