#37 New sponsor request: ueno
Closed: Fixed Opened by ueno.

I'm maintaining a package that I want to pass the maintainership to its upstream. Currently he is not a packager but his first review has been already filed. So I'd like to nominate myself as a package sponsor to sponsor him.

I've been a packager since Fedora 12 and (co-)maintained 35 packages, which are mainly internationalization stuff including input methods and orean and Thai fonts. Also reviewed several packages.

Regards,

For this case you might find it easier to simply get them added as a co-maintainer on that package, mentor them in the process and then they can get their other package reviewed and added.

See: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_get_sponsored_into_the_packager_group#Become_a_co-maintainer

Or you can of course look to become a sponsor yourself if you intend to sponsor other folks...

This has been hanging around for a while now, and I'm not sure exactly what's up. Nobody has voted and I'm not sure if that means that nobody has an opinion (which I find unlikely) or if everyone's unsure of whether they should be voting.

Everyone who asks deserves an up or down vote if they ask for it. If that's what you'd like, please say so and we'll move forward with the process.

Sorry for not responding earlier. For my case, co-maintainer is actually sufficient and also his first package has already been approved:

So I'd like to withdraw this application for now.
