Closed: accepted by kevin. Opened by neeralishah.

rust-xml - XML library in pure Rust
RedHat ticket: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2434843

For context, the request to add the XML package is for the Guest Proxy Agent: https://github.com/Azure/GuestProxyAgent. GPA is written in rust and has several dependencies in order to build in Fedora environment.

Hi @neeralishah,

I'm happy to be your sponsor for the packager group.

Before I do, please introduce yourself on the devel list and consider subscribing to the important mailing lists.

Also, to become comfortable with the package review process and to demonstrate your familiarity with the packaging guidelines, please review a couple recent package review requests using the documented review process. Since these won't be formal reviews, you shouldn't assign them to yourself as described in the document and you should note at the top of your review that it is an informal review for practice.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me.

Welcome to Fedora!

Thanks Jeremey! I've sent a introduction email to the devel list and went through the package review process. Here's a practice review: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1922799

Great, thanks for introducing yourself and for performing some practice reviews. For the record, Neerali as did a practice review on a Python package in addition to the one they linked above.

I have added you to the packager group and you should be able to proceed with importing the rust-xml package as described in the documentation. You might need to log out and back in for group membership to take affect in various places.

As your sponsor I'm here to help you out, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions. Welcome to Fedora!

@jcline I've added you here to be able to close issues moving forward.
