I am requesting sponsorship for the Fedora package of kew, a lightweight terminal music player.
Review ticket: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2441693
About kew: kew is a terminal-based music player written in C, designed for minimalism, privacy, and scripting. It supports common audio formats, has no telemetry (entirely offline), and is actively maintained upstream. The package is already available in Debian, Arch Linux, and other distributions, demonstrating cross-distro interest and stability.
A working spec file is available and builds successfully: https://github.com/ravachol/kew/blob/main/docs/kew.spec
Why sponsor this package? - The spec file is ready and tested. - Upstream (me) is committed to providing updates, fixes, and feedback. - kew aligns well with Fedora’s CLI and minimalist tooling ecosystem. - I am happy to co-maintain or assist the sponsor as needed.
I am looking for a sponsor to help complete the review and bring kew to Fedora users. Thank you for your time and consideration!
Best regards, Ravachol Upstream maintainer of kew
Actually, looking for a volunteer Fedora packager ..
