I am a new packager seeking sponsorship after my new package submission was approved.
FAS username: blacknon Bugzilla email: blacknon@orebibou.com
Approved package review: - hwatch - Review bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2463848
The reviewer marked the review as approved.
About me: I am the upstream author and maintainer of hwatch: https://github.com/blacknon/hwatch
hwatch is a modern alternative to watch. It records command output over time and lets users inspect history and diff views.
I would like to maintain this package in Fedora and later work on EPEL support as well.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best regards, blacknon
Hi sponsors,
I would like to gently follow up on this sponsorship request.
My hwatch package review has already received fedora-review+:
fedora-review+
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2463848
During the review, I addressed the issues pointed out by the reviewer / Fedora Review Service, updated the package accordingly, and confirmed that the review build succeeds.
I understand that sponsorship is not only about getting one package approved, but also about demonstrating understanding of Fedora packaging guidelines and processes.
To make this easier to evaluate, I am willing to do informal reviews or review swaps for other packages, especially Rust / CLI / terminal-related packages.
If there are specific things I should do before sponsorship, I would appreciate your guidance.
Thank you.
Welcome to Fedora!
I left some feedback on the review request from a Rust packaging perspective.
Thank you, and thanks for the welcome!
I saw your feedback on the review request from the Rust packaging perspective. I will rework the spec file based on your comments and upload the revised Spec and SRPM to the review request.
I appreciate your guidance.
I see that the review is proceeding.
In the meantime, standard questions. Have you read https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines and https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Updates_Policy ?
Please do two reviews of packages under https://fedoraproject.org/PackageReviewStatus/reviewable.html. (Don't pick any of the very complex ones.)
I haven't read it properly yet, so I'll read it now.
Okay, I will try two reviews of packages.
NOTE: I update when add review.
