Scala-2.10.3 is currently built agains jline2-2.10. Unfortunately we get a crash in the REPL described in BZ#890069. We have find out, that scala used a heavy patched version of jline2 which will not produced the reported issue. So I want to ask for an bundling exception for the jline2 library in scala.
Have you reported this bug upstream?
Why don't you try to find out which of the patches in the bundled copy fixes the segfault and send it to jline2 upstream?
Anyway, for us to consider the exception request, you should first answer the standard questions listed here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:No_Bundled_Libraries#Standard_questions .
I have create a diff between the scala realse of jline2 and the jline2 release provided by Fedora. the diff was very huge and I was unable to find a way to fix thue upstream. AFAIK I think a fix is inpossible without chaning the general system wide behaviour of jline2. Of course, I oope this should be a temporar solution until we have find a general soulution for this issue.
I have found a solution in scala-2.10.3-2, so this ticket can be closed.
