#5117 SSH key added in Pagure is not enabling git ssh protocol repository cloning.
Closed: Invalid by whitingjr. Opened by whitingjr.

Hi,
I am attempting to clone a project using the git ssh protocol. However the project I am cloning still indicates an ssh key has not been added to the FAS for fedoraproject.org system. This is my forked project.
https://src.fedoraproject.org/fork/whitingjr/rpms/java-11-openjdk

I've added my ssh key to Pagure. When looking at the settings for my profile on src.fedoraproject.org I do not see any option to add a key here as well.

Then when I attempt to log in using git my FAS credentials are not accepted. I am completely skupered.

Attached is an image showing my profile and the gap where there should be an option to add an ssh key.

Am I wrong expecting it to be there ?

ssh keys and groups are synced upon login, so did you log out and back in?

Also are you a packager? If not ssh will not be enabled and you'll have to follow another way documented at: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/ci/pull-requests/#_you_are_not_a_packager

This is expected, the ssh key on src.fp.o is pulled from FAS and in a different way than how pagure normally works. So there is no option to add an ssh key in the UI since it wouldn't be used :)

@pingou
I'm NOT a packager.
Thank you for these explanations and I need to apologise. I should have RTM to find out how the process works.
