GitHub supports placing certain items in the /docs or .github/ directory rather than in the repository root. For example, in the repository for Sherlock, the README.md file can be found in the /docs directory rather than the repository root. The forge still displays the Readme when found in either location.

When viewing Sherlock's mirror on Pagure, the Readme is not found and therefore not displayed.

While it's understandable to not want certain features to carry over, I believe that we should have support for these two directories at least for the Readme, to better support mirrored or migrated projects.
