The purpose of this issue is to discuss a few ideas for enhancing the issue tracker in pagure. Feel free to add more ideas in the comments.

  • Have a "Duplicate" status for issues, and perhaps a new field that allows a user to state the issue that it is a duplicate of, and display this in the sidebar

  • have a dedicated milestones metadata entry, rather than using issue labels (issue tags). This would allow us to do things like automatically list the bugs fixed in the releases section if they have milestones listed that match

  • show status updates in the comments feed -- i.e. "Issue was closed by username 4 days ago", or reopened messages, etc
