#10768 F37: Proposal to supplement Server downloads by a KVM VM disk image
Closed: Fixed by humaton. Opened by pboy.

  • Describe the issue
Fedora Server WG wants to add a VM disk image to the distribution downloads. We created an ImageFactory kickstart, what currently is tested locally and works fine.
We now need to feed it into koji and test it (add it to the kickstart repository, integrate the generation scriptlet, etc. )

  • When do you need this?
    :-)

  • When is this no longer needed or useful?
    n/a

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
We miss an important enhancement of Fedora Server Edition.

Is this an f37 change proposal? If so can you include a wiki page and fesco ticket for it, please?

Hi,

I would like to know how it can be ensured that the Fedora Server VM can be included in Release 37, as decided with the change proposal.

If I understand correctly, next Tuesday is the freeze date?

Needs to be added to the pungi config (https://pagure.io/pungi-fedora/) once the kickstart has been merged, not seen anything from releng on this though, but also the KS was pretty late

Thanks for the into, and sorry for the late KS. Unfortunately, I didn't know any better and - obviously naive - thought part of the ticket process was to get information on how to proceed.

This is now done.
