#11934 Unretire rpms/libva-intel-hybrid-driver
Closed: Fixed by jnsamyak. Opened by kwizart.

  • Describe the issue
libva-intel-hybrid-driver have been orphaned by the maintainer without any notice to current co-maintainer. I also missed the retirement noticed that occurred in July 2023.

The package was reviewed here https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1475962

It's currently badly missing from the f39 tree and later.

  • When do you need this?
By the end of the week.

  • When is this no longer needed or useful?
    Still useful

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
The f39 users from 3rd part using the older VAAPI backend for intel are currently unable to install their driver.

Hello @kwizart!

I have checked there was no f39 branch in https://pdc.fedoraproject.org/rest_api/v1/component-branch-slas/?branch=rawhide&global_component=libva-intel-hybrid-driver; whilst i have unblocked it from koji;

The package is now unretired. For missing branches please use $fedpkg request-branch. Done for rawhide/f40 unblocked from koji (f39/f40). If you need other branches, let us know.

Thanks for the update.

I've requested the f39 branch at
https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/60279

Others branches are present (epel7-epel9) and the package is tagged there. For some reason the epel8 build is missing. Will fix.

Alright, everything is fine.

Thanks
