#12020 Remove my comaintainership from verilator
Closed: Fixed by patrikp. Opened by marcusmueller.

Description

I want to not be co-maintainer of verilator. I'm really not filling the role.

Problems with this:

  • (high importance) my presence as co-maintainer suggests the package needs no further co-maintainers with more time and more domain knowledge. It really does.
  • (low importance) notifications in my inbox that get filed away w/o action

Reason

Main maintainer is going through the nonresponsive maintainer routine, and I honestly can't catch any of the things that would be needed to not orphan the package.

Two options:

  • main maintainer starts responding: I could ask them to remove me from the list of co-maintainers (I think); I'm the only one. But: I think they'd have bigger fish to fry first
  • main maintainer not reachable/not willing to continue maintenance: Pa

If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?

Low impact, just a useless co-maintainer on a potentially orphaned package that people would be disappointed with
