#12522 Missing rawhide branch for recently created package 'pybind11-json'
Closed: Fixed with Explanation by cottsay. Opened by cottsay.

  • Describe the issue
The pybind11-json package was created in March of last year, and for some reason it did not get a rawhide branch and instead has only a main branch. It appears that without the rawhide branch, the package does not get automatically branched and rebuilt with new Fedora releases.

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    N/A

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)
    N/A

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?
The package will not follow automatic Fedora branching and will continue to require manual branching and building.

Wouldn't using the fedpkg request-branch utility solve this?

I do remember trying that and I can't recall why it didn't work.

I did however just try creating the branch manually using git and it appears to have worked. I'm not sure if there is additional plumbing that this package is missing for automated branching to proceed, but I'd guess we'll find out when f43 branches.

Closing this out, at least for now.

As a side note, F43 mass branching happened a couple of weeks ago so we may not find out until F44 mass branching.

Looking at the repository you are still missing the F42 branch.

Feel free to reopen if you run into issues in the future.
