#12589 Failed epel10 branch request for spirv-headers
Closed: Fixed 2 months ago by frantisekz. Opened 2 months ago by frantisekz.

  • Describe the issue

An attempt to request epel10 branch for spirv-headers failed with crash at https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/72306 . There is no obvious reason for what's the cause listed in.

The package is present in el10 buildroot, but that shouldn't be an issue as it's the same with el8, and el9, and the package is in epel too in both cases.

Thanks!

  • When do you need this? (YYYY/MM/DD)

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? (YYYY/MM/DD)

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact?

Apart from others, intel-compute-runtime bring up into epel 10 can't happen.

An attempt to build fails with "
BuildError: package spirv-headers not in list for tag epel10.0-testing-candidate", eg. https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=129233987

Unfortunately this is a known issue that happens rarely. So far we haven't been able to determine why pagure is returning a 500 error for that API call. Even weirder, the call is actually successful despite the error, and the epel10 branch was created. The error while building was because the package wasn't listed in the epel10.0 tag, which normally happens very quickly after a successful branch request, but takes a little while longer after one fails like this. I confirmed it is there now, so if you try to build again it should work fine. Sorry for the inconvenience.
