#8342 Fedora 31 will not allow root logins with passwords in ssh
Closed: Fixed 5 years ago by mohanboddu. Opened 5 years ago by jjelen.

  • There is a request to change default in the next Fedora release to not allow password logins for root in ssh to be more secure out of the box. See the attached Fedora change draft.

  • When do you need this? Fedora 31 Beta (2019-08-29)

  • When is this no longer needed or useful? This is always useful. If it will not make it this release, the next will be attempted (N/A)

  • If we cannot complete your request, what is the impact? This change will have to be postponed.

@jjelen This doesn't require any work from RelEng. Thanks for filing the ticket.
