The directory just doesn't exist, that's all...

I propose we just set the log file to something like /var/log/revisor-yum.log

Nice, well this is now:

Cannot open logfile /var/tmp/revisor/var/log/revisor-yum.log

So, it looks like we are battling installroot. Should we just make sure to create the installroot before the yum object is created and just log in the installroot?
